This is quite a controversial topic for some, yet for other’s you may be thinking “damn right!” Definitely for only my third article in, this would seem like a pretty brazen point of view but whatever, let it be said. So what is this ascension process all about but first and foremost why does the earth need to go through an ascension, or does it really?

Well let’s firstly take a look at where we are today. We are exiting the Age of Pisces and entering the Age of Aquarius. The timeline isn’t exact as some sources state that we are still in Pisces while others say we’ve just entered the Aquarian age, but either or this isn’t going to be a smooth transition. So what differentiates the Age of Aquarius apart from Pisces. Well Pisces is said to be the age of “Jesus” but also an age of “Learning” for the human race. It’s been defined by materialism and wars but also spirituality as we go through the whole learning process of what it means to be human. Kind of an awakening from beginning to end, think of it as a University program as you enter green and novice, but exit with much knowledge gained and hopefully for most at least, a more mature view of things. So Pisces can be viewed through the lens or definition of more “masculine” energy. Aquarius on the other hand can be seen as the age of “awakened”, knowledge and lessons gained and earned, time for growth, spiritual progress, or an age of “blossoming!” So if the age of Pisces was the age of “learning” then the Aquarian age can be defined as the age of “Knowing!”

So what are we to learn from the age of Pisces in order to make this transition into Aquarius a more smooth sail as opposed to a gale! In the Piscean age we definitely have been developing our societal views and values shaped by religions, beliefs, and philosophies which for the most part sounds positive, but also we’ve had our shares of wars, disagreements, action over thinking, rash acts of violence, and putting materialism and economic growth over acts of kindness and care for our fellow man and even nature. This is where we have really been going wrong, and even as we’ve progressed so much from past acts of war, genocides, slavery, we’re still not a perfect society based on peace by any means. There are still religious wars happening, acts of violence, materialism and the sheer desecration of nature for our own economic growth and values, which in the whole grand scheme of things is all in the name of “short term gain!” Future generations will whole heartedly suffer from the over exploitation of resources, both being plants and animals, rocks, minerals, etc. And they will be left with solving the problems that will derive from such near sighted practices.

For those who understand the law of gender, one of the seven sacred Hermetic principles, you’d know that this way of life or thinking is of a very “masculine” type gender. Now for those of you who don’t understand this practice don’t go off castrating every man you come across or if you’re a man yourself there is no need to head to the nearest church for reconciliation. Masculine energy is simply defined as a more “rash” energy, or acting before thinking. Yes it’s as simple as that, and our society has been under this regime for quite a while now. Since the dawn of civilization, or let’s face it, even since our first ancestors started walking upright! It’s a very secular way of thinking, and we’ve been taught this in school once we graduated from the early grades where the emphasis was on “sharing and caring” to the later years when the message all of sudden became “It’s time to grow up and GET AHEAD!” Suddenly your classmate became your competitor who is vying for the same job and resources that you want! Sound pretty “Primal” now doesn’t it, or as a term heard in the new age and religious circles, the “Reptilian mindset!” We are definitely waking up from this now though, as we can see more acts of kindness happening in the World today.

Bring on the “feminine” energy, where now we think and ponder before acting! Now it’s not just about how will this affect me, but how will this affect me as well as those around me. One of the grand messages of philosophy and religions that we constantly get thrown at us is “We are all one!” Simply put what affects you affects your neighbour and vice versa, and even deeper and more physical, when you pollute nature, be it water or air you pollute your own body! And we wonder why they say the latest generations will be the first to NOT outlive their parents! Can we even continue to regard us an intelligent species anymore when you think about it?

When you learn to live in more harmony with your neighbour and nature, as a residual affect you become more harmonious with your own self. Show acts of kindness and you’re more likely to served the same treatment in return from others. Don’t spew poisons into the air and your lungs will thank you and spare you the autoimmune disorder or disease that derives from poisoning the very air we breathe. Sounds simple enough right! It’s kind of practiced in the business world today as well. Invest a little now, make your customer happy, hand out some freebies in the short term, and you’ll leave a lasting impression making them want to come buy more! Then some companies get greedy and forget what got them there, and well karma can sometimes hit rendering a company bankrupt. Another topic altogether there, but to get back on track here yes, a lot of us now are realizing that living with more grace and sympathy for others not only feels right, but it makes us feel good as well. Where materialistic goals were taught or thought to be top priority, now younger generations are starting to wake up from that mantra. People are beginning to think more about how to live more in harmony with not only one another but nature as well. So we really are waking up aren’t we!

So what’s the controversy in all this? Well this greatly challenges the mainstream way of thinking, or the dogmatic part of religion. We’ve been taught that the human conquest and personal gain is of the utmost importance in life. This is what you are to live for. Gain more property, earn more money, start more businesses, take over more businesses, create a monopoly! This makes life seem like a video game of winners and losers. It puts you in fear of your neighbour who “supposedly” wants to take your earnings or the material possessions which you’ve gained. Are you part of the HAVES or HAVE NOTS? And what about the whole concept of “Mans conquest over Nature!” Where nature is viewed as this object or enemy that must be tamed and civilized, nature is there to be exploited for man’s conquest of personal gain. Economic values are placed on elements of nature, as opposed to seeing the “true value” or “pricelessness” of nature that should be garnered evenly, carefully, and more appreciated, and unfortunately this lesson is often learned when it’s too late. When starvations occur, extinctions, societal conflicts and wars which have been caused by the over exploitations of vital resources such as food and water, the introduction of invasive species, the use of vital drinking water for the sake of industry rendering it no longer safe to drink! Yes there are many examples of this practice which I have no qualms in defining it as a “self-decrepitating” practice, and unintentionally “self-masochistic”!

This more “feminine” concept or view of thinking though is fueling the new age. It gives “proper” values to nature and people, as opposed to intrinsic value. It puts us in a more sharing, and loving mindset, and definitely allows us to view the miracle of life with more “respect and admiration” as opposed to just a “convenient” or “lucky” mistake of the Universe. When we view things through this more loving perspective we’re able to live with more grace and peace. We don’t just based on our own benefits, but we think about how our actions will affect the greater good, and the impacts it may have on our future generations.

The war against cancer, fight for a cure, the road to conquer. Negative tones given to disease which is usually what manifested the disease in the first place. The new approach is to go to the root at what caused the state of disease within the body and to come to peace with that emotion or situation in order to bring the body back to the state of harmony it need to overcome the disease, putting you back in that state or frequency conducive to healing. The war against cancer sounds like trying to fight fire with fire. More negativity brings about more disease.

This new view on how to live is actually an old mindset that was practiced in Pagan cultures, and is very aboriginal in nature. But just because it’s old, doesn’t mean it’s inferior, or out dated? There are a lot of things in life that don’t need improving and we’re pretty much learning this now as our conquest of nature is starting to be shown for the mistake it is. There are many examples of this such as the mono-culture practices of certain crops which gave rise to super pest and diseases of the plants. The taming of certain waterways which are now starting to reclaim their original zones, the cutting down of forest lands which have made the landscape vulnerable to mudslides and other so called “unkind” acts of nature. This list goes on, and now we’re learning to be more harmonious with nature.

As the aboriginal mindset goes; work in harmony with nature and it will treat you with the same harmonious view, try to go against nature and it will fight back causing disharmony.
